Features

The Sawgrass VersiFlex SG500 is a desktop A4 dye sublimation printer.

Dye sublimation is a process where you print your artwork using special inks onto special paper. You then apply this to specially receptive products, eg polyester garments or coated mugs using a heat press. At the correct temperature the ink turns into a gas and fuses into the product, giving a long lasting, vibrant image.

  • What Is VersiFlex?

    The VersiFlex SG500 printer comes with VersiFlex inks which in conjunction with the VersiFlex papers allows you to dye sublimate onto products that are not coated for dye sublimation.

    You can also use the inks like regular dye sublimation inks and print onto coated products just using the standard Truepix dye sublimation paper.

    Being able to dye sublimate onto coated and uncoated substrates gives you an unrivalled, limitless range of substrates to use.

    The Versiflex ink range consists of a Magenta, Cyan and Yellow cartridge along with an Expander cartridge, which is positioned in the printer where the black cartridge would normally sit.

    No other sublimation system allows you to print onto coated and uncoated products so you can create high-quality, durable designs on almost anything, be it cotton t-shirts, baseball caps, cosmetic bags or a steel tumbler.

    The optional Bypass Tray extends maximum media size up to 216x1295mm (8.5x51 inch). The SG500 also has an additional 250 Sheet Paper Feed Tray option, which enables you to keep multiple paper sizes ready to print on demand.
